Jo Perry – Biography

Born and raised in SouthEast London, Jo had a natural passion for music and writing from an early age and by the age of 13 was writing and structuring songs. By 18 she was eager to break into the music industry and so put together and auditioned members for a girl group. The group just 6 months later secured a management deal with laurie cokell former MD of london Records and 3 months later secured a deal with CURB US after turning down offers from 4 other UK labels. After the politics that caused the girls to split Jo was disheartened with being an artist, so she bought her own set up at home and spent the next 3 years out of the industry developing her production skills and teaching herself to use Logic. She still had a major passion for singing but began a major passion for songwriting and vocal production and by 2007 she had built her own fylly operational studio in SE London which is her base. Jo collaborates with some of the UK`s best producers including Labrinth (Pass Out, Tinie Tempah, Frisky). She wrote “Love Drunk” with Labrinth for Loick Essien for example. Jo is not only a great writer but also a creative talent, she has during the last 2 years written for and developed her own girlgroup STOOSHE who are amazing. Jo has written all songs together with UK producers Futurecut (Lily Allen, Devlin etc). STOOSHE just signed a major recording deal with Warner Bros UK CEO Christian Tattersfield for the world, and their debut album will be released in the spring of 2012, watch out for these amazing girls and their amazing songs written by Jo.With the help of Razor Boy Music Publishing together with Jo`s company The  Qworks we are now ready to take on the UK and other markets with the freedom to focus on projects Jo is passionate about.
